Junior Suite with pool, 1 King bed

I stayed here five nights. Some things you should be aware of before booking especially if you are sensitive to noise. This hotel is located alongside a major highway and there is traffic noise all night and day. On check in I requested a room at the back but with poor window insulation you still hear the noise from the highway which is around the corner from the backside of the hotel. I picked this hotel because it met three of my main requirements – it has gym, air-conditioning and walking distance to the historic center. Also, the price was reasonable. The room itself was bigger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The air-conditioning works great and the bed is comfortable. However, some things could be improved upon. There are extremely bright LEDs on the TV panel that shine directly in your eyes at night like a torch. Luckily, I had an eye mask. I had to open my suitcase lid to block the blue LED. The shower is big and there is plenty of hot water with good water pressure. However, the sink has extremely low water pressure. There is a hairdryer and ample closet space. There is a gym in the air-conditioning works. The treadmill works and there’s ample amount of way to get a decent workout. Due to the two large glass windows, the gym gets extremely hot in the afternoon till evening. The Front Desk lady who works from morning till around 9 PM is extremely courteous, professional, and helpful. She helped me to get a different room due to noise from the highway and helped me out with laundry machine (free) as well. Mr. Teo who manages the bar/restaurant is also very nice. One thing I was disappointing is that the bar does not carry wine. Since the location is alongside the highway, the food choices are limited to fast food, which I do not consume. The information on Google about the timings of the restaurant I wanted to go to was completely wrong. I went to an Indian restaurant a few blocks away on the backside of the hotel three times and each time it was closed on three different days but Google showed each time it was open. From that experience I learned my lesson and had the front desk lady called I had to make sure the restaurant was open before I went there. The historic center is about 20 minutes straight walk. Your take a right, exiting the hotel and go straight to reach the city center. The area is safe to walk at all times. For the price I paid, amenities and for the service of the staff, I recommend this hotel. Just make sure to ask for a room on the backside if you are sensitive to traffic noise.

This hotel has been one of the best I’ve ever stayed in! It’s quiet, nice, and cozy. In addition, the location is ideal. Although I never understood why they were playing Fox News ( a network that is constantly bashing Mexico as a whole) in a Mexican hotel, the hotel is excellent.

Fantastic location! Check in and check out was super easy thanks to the wonderful staff. I really enjoyed the room and the patio outside as it was amazing!
